Ono Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (Osaka, Japan; President, Representative Director, Gyo Sagara, “ONO”) today announced that it has completed the investment to BMG, Inc. (Kyoto, Japan; CEO, Suong-Hyu Hyon, “BMG”).

　ONO has been considering to contribute to the extension of healthy life and the realization of sustainable society through the investment to and collaboration with venture companies, by actively investing not only in the medical field where we have done so far, but also in the healthcare field.

　BMG, established in 1983, is a biomaterial venture company with the cooperation of Kyoto University. BMG has been committed to developing LYDEX®, a medical adhesive that is degraded and absorbed in the body. LYDEX® is expected to have strong adhesiveness with high safety and simple operation, and is currently under clinical trials to apply for medical devices as a sealant material.
