Ono Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (Osaka, Japan; President and CEO, Gyo Sagara) announced that it reviewed the research functions and decided to consolidate the functions of the Fukui Research Institute into the Minase Research Institute and reorganize the current three-base system into a two-base system of the Minase Research Institute and the Tsukuba Research Institute.

　Due to the reorganization, we will close the Fukui Research Institute at the end of March 2022. The work related to non-clinical safety research conducted at the Fukui Research Institute will be consolidated at the Minase Research Institute.

　We will continue to strive to deliver innovative new drugs to patients as soon as possible with the aim of further speeding up drug discovery and increasing the probability of success.
