Ono Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (Osaka, Japan; President, Representative Director, Gyo Sagara; “Ono”) announced that Ono has established Ono Pharma UD Co., Ltd., to provide more work opportunities for people with disabilities.

1. Purpose for establishment:

   　Ono has been promoting the employment of people with disabilities, and is working to create an environment where everyone can work comfortably, believing in their potential, by utilizing the individuality of each person, helping and cooperating together. In order to contribute to solving the social issue of the employment of people with disabilities, we will start with the printing business. In the future, we would like to contribute to a sustainable society by providing opportunities for employment that is rewarding for people with disabilities to fully demonstrate their abilities and play an active role in a wide variety of tasks.

   　Ono is planning to apply for a certification as a "Special subsidiary*", based on the "Act for Promotion of Employment of Persons with Disabilities".

   * Special subsidiary:
   　It is a subsidiary established by a company for the purpose of promoting the employment of people with disabilities, based on the "Act for Promotion of Employment of Persons with Disabilities". If the parent company establishes a subsidiary with special consideration for the employment of people with disabilities, the employment rate of people with disabilities can be calculated together with the parent company by satisfying certain requirements and being certified by the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare.
