Ono Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Osaka, Japan; President and CEO: Gyo Sagara; “ONO”) announced that it has been certified as a “DX certified business operator” based on the DX certification system stipulated by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI).

 The DX (digital transformation) Certification system is based on the Act on Facilitation of Information Processing. The national certification initiative (the METI) certifies companies recognized as ready to promote the DX (DX-ready) that meet the basic requirements specified in the “Digital Governance Code^*1.” This is a document that summarizes the actions required to business managers in light of social changes to be brought by digital technology.

 In January 2022, ONO organized the Digital & IT Strategy Division and has been committed to enforcing our efforts to realize corporate transformation through digitalization and IT, such as reforming IT infrastructure with a view to globalization and promoting DX, including the transformation of the drug discovery value chain. In August 2022, as part of these activities, we developed an infrastructure for utilizing integrated data, OASIS (Ono Advanced Scientific Insight Service)^*2, to centrally manage and utilize the vast amount of data held by each division across the company.
